My name is Shannon and I am head over heels in love with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Without Him I am nothing, but with Him, I am royalty-a King's daughter, and I have a future and a hope. I do like cool, pretty pictures, but my desire when you visit my site is that you smell the love of Christ. I hope to first and foremost bring Him glory, honor, and praise. I also want to encourage/inspire others to be sold out in their walk with the Lord.
I am a small town girl, from Franklin, Ohio. I loved growing up there and in my parent's quaint home. I have one sister, who is three years older than me. Most of our childhood days were filled with my mom taking us to church, playing sports, traveling on vacation, and me trying to become a supermodel. Ha!
I was an honor student in high school. After graduating, I enrolled at Wright State University. I was only there for one quarter because I was selected to be on the first season of America's Next Top Model. It was a dream come true and it still doesn't feel real! I was the girl who refused to pose nude/semi-nude for a jewelry shoot. Ever since I was young, my heart's desire was always to become a supermodel. When I came face to face with my dream, I realized that no dream would be worth selling out for lowering my standards. If you don't stand for something, you won't stand for anything. I got runner-up in the end because I didn't do that shoot.
I modeled for several years, even returning to Top Model for their All-Star edition. I took a break from modeling almost four years ago, when my sister talked my husband and me into moving to Raleigh, NC. I watch my niece and nephew , whom I love dearly. They feel just like my own.
My man was also a model. He happens to have the biggest Abercrombie and Fitch campaign to date. We "met" through a mutual friend's Myspace. I decided to give him a chance when I agreed to go on a blind date with him. We dated for a year and a half, were engaged for six months, and will be married ten years in November!! We BOTH saved ourselves for marriage and yes, it was WORTH the wait! We don't have any kids of our own YET, but hope to in the future.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future. I am excited about what is to come because I have given the reigns of my life to my loving Father. I gave Him my heart, and said, "here I am Lord, send, use me." XOXO
