Mirror… mirror.

Who do you see looking back at you?

Do you see failure?

Brokenness?

Unworthiness?

Too far gone?

Unlovable?

Shame?

I’ve been both girls.

I’ve been the girl proud of the reflection—standing strong in her faith, eyes fixed on Jesus, and unafraid of what people thought. The one who lived to honor God at all costs.

But I’ve also been the girl who couldn’t stand the reflection in the mirror.

Ashamed.

Haunted by regret.

Buried in sorrow.

Unrecognizable—even to herself.

I was the girl who made choices I never imagined I would.

Who listened to a deceitful heart instead of God’s call.

Who willingly disobeyed and felt too broken, too tainted to ever return.

Yet even in my mess, Jesus was waiting—patiently, expectantly.

He wasn’t repelled by my brokenness; He was ready to redeem it.

I turned around.

I did a 180.

And what I found wasn’t judgment—it was mercy.

That’s the God I serve.

He rewrites stories.

He brings beauty from ashes.

He turns messes into messages and pain into purpose.

He restores what we thought was lost forever.

So if you’re staring in the mirror today and barely recognize the person looking back—

Take heart.

Your story’s not over.

Jesus is still writing.

Stop chasing approval from people who never called you.

They can’t cancel what God has called.

Fix your eyes on Jesus.

Follow Him with everything you’ve got.

He’s the only One worthy—and He gets all the glory.
